 These trims are fitted to the roof edge which will allow rainwater to drain into the gutter.

Fitting Suggestions : 

We would recommend a 2" support batten is used and that there's a minimum of a 2"-2.5" gap from any fascia to the face of the trim to allow sufficient space when the gutter is fitted for the trim to sit in the center. 
  
A strong adhesive is applied to the support batten before the trim is nailed to the roof.
